Wendy Briggs Powell was a four-year letter winner in women's lacrosse and a one-year letter winner in women's swimming.  Briggs Powell went on to earn All-American accolades in both sports.

In lacrosse, Briggs Powell was named to the United States Women's Lacrosse Association All-American team and the Brine All-American team in 1988.  She was named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference first team on three occasions and was a three-time all-region selection.  In 1988, Briggs Powell served as a team captain.  From 1986-88, she scored 118 goals highlighted by a career-high 43 goals in 1987.

In one year of swimming, Briggs Powell was a part of the All-American 200 medley relay in 1985. She also contributed to a third place finish in the 400 medley relay at NCAC Championship.

After Denison, Briggs Powell went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts in graphic design from Vermont College of Fine Arts.  She is an artist and graphic designer who lives in Contoocook, New Hampshire with her husband, Brentnall, and children; Isabel, Charlotte, and Henry.
