Peter Royer is a four year letter winner and three time All-American as a Denison men’s lacrosse team member from 1999-2002.  A four-year starter at goalie, Royer anchored the defense on three NCAA Tournament teams while helping Denison advance to the NCAA Final Four in 1999 and 2001.

Royer was named the NCAA Division III Goalie of the Year in 2001 after posting a .603 save percentage while leading the Big Red to an NCAA Quarterfinal win over Salisbury.  He appeared in 61 games in his career and finished with 642 saves and a career save percentage of .626.  The North Coast Athletic Conference coaches named him to the first-team four times, and in 2000 he was named the league’s Co-Player of the Year.  As a rookie in 1999, Royer burst on to the national scene by racking up 20 saves in Denison’s NCAA first-round victory over rival, Ohio Wesleyan.

He ranks second on Denison’s career saves list and his 192 saves in 2000 are the sixth-most in program history.  During Royer’s four years with the Big Red, the team went 48-13 and won two NCAC Championships.

After Denison, Royer went on to earn his J.D. from the Vermont School of Law in 2007.
