Tim Gerbus earned a total of seven varsity letters while at Denison from 1980 to 1984, competing in soccer and track and field.

Gerbus was voted track most dedicated once, track MVP two times and served as track captain in 1982, 1983, and 1984. A six-time All-OAC honoree, Gerbus was also 1983 Track All-American after finishing fourth in the nation in the 400 meter IM  hurdles, an event for which he still holds the Denison record. He was also a part of the record-setting 1600 meter outdoor relay.

Gerbus made the dean’s list seven out of eight semesters while at Denison and was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, an Economics honor society, and served on Inter-Fraternity Council and Newark’s Big Brothers.
