Dan Holland was a mainstay on the Denison defensive line from 1984 to 1987, lettering in football four times and garnering three All-NCAC first-team selections. Holland was named Denison’s Outstanding Defensive Lineman in 1987 and received the Hank Critchfield Award in 1986 as the NCAC’s Defensive Player of the Year. In 1986 and 1987, Holland was honored on the NCAA Division III first team, the AP Little All-American team, the Pizza Hut All-American first team, and the Kodak All-American team. Holland was also named to the Football News Division III All-American team in 1987. While at Denison, Holland was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
