Cheryl Campbell Carroll was a four-year letter winner in tennis and swimming and diving. One of the top female divers to come out of Denison, Campbell captured the AIAW one meter Ohio diving championship in 1979 and 1982 and was the three-meter champ in 1981. She advanced to the MAIAW regional as a diver and placed 13th in the three-meter event. On the court, she was a three-time state champion at third singles and captured a pair of state doubles championships.
