Tjasa Crofoot-Ritchey was a four-year letter winner and an 18-time All-American as a member of the Big Red women’s swimming and diving team from 1990-93.

Serving as the team captain in 1993, she captured a North Coast Athletic Conference championship in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:11.25. In all, she was a three-year All-NCAC performer.

At the national level, Crofoot-Ritchey was a four-time qualifier for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship. She placed third in the 200 backstroke in 1991 and was fourth, the following year, in the same event. In her four seasons with the Big Red, she logged eight top-10 finishes at nationals in the 100 and 200 backstroke events. As a junior, she was named the team’s Most Valuable Swimmer and in 1991 she was honored with the “Coaches Award”.

She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority during her time at Denison. She is also a four-time finisher of the Hawaii Ironman triathlon
