Courtney Zollars was a four-year letter winner and a 2001 All-American in softball for the Big Red.

A two-time North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year, Zollars is one of just 10 pitchers in Division III softball history to record 20 strikeouts in one game, a feat she completed on April 7, 2002 in a victory over The College of Wooster.  She was named to the NCAC’s 20th Anniversary team and was a three-time first-team all-conference selection.

Zollars currently holds 17 single-season and career pitching records in the Denison softball record book. She also holds NCAC records for lowest ERA in a season (0.40), career victories, shutouts in a career and single-season, strikeouts in a season, and average strikeouts per game.  She left Denison with 49 career victories, 16 shutouts, and 479 strikeouts.

Zollars went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in 2005.
