Andrew John was a four-year letter winner and a two-time All-American as a member of the Denison University lacrosse team between 1981-84.

He scored 179 career goals (2nd all-time) and closed out his four seasons with a school-record 256 points. John led the Big Red to the NCAA playoffs in 1983 and 1984 and was the team’s most valuable player both seasons. As a senior he set a school record for goals in a season with 63 and points with 96 and was the second leading scorer in NCAA Division III.  

He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and the Omicron Delta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon honoraries. As a senior he was awarded the Leland F. Gordon Award for economics honors research.
