John Robic attended Denison University for just two years but in those two seasons he cemented himself as one of the top players in the history of the DU men’s basketball program. He scored 1,018 career points which ranks him 16th on the all-time scoring list and was an All-NCAC selection in 1985 and 1986. He was named to the NCAC 10th Year Anniversary Team and was an all-region pick in 1986. Robic went on to win a national championship as a member of the coaching staff at Kansas under Larry Brown in 1988 and was the head men’s basketball coach at Youngstown St. from 1999-2005. He also served as an assistant under John Calipari at the University of Memphis.
