George Hill was the defensive coordinator for the Ohio State football team in the 1970s under “Woody” Hayes, and coached a host of All-American for the Buckeyes during that time.  George also coached in the NFL for 21 years.  He was the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins from 1996-99.  Prior to that, he was the linebackers coach under legendary head coach Don Shula.  Hill was also the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts (1985-88) under Rod Dowhower and Ron Meyer.

He won four football letters at Denison, two at fullback and two at tackle.  In 1960, he returned to Denison as defensive coordinator under head coach Keith Piper, a position he held for five years.  During his stint in Granville, Hill also coached the Denison baseball team from 1960-63.  Following that, he coached a year at Cornell and was the defensive coordinator at Duke University for five years before joining Woody Hayes’ staff at Ohio State.
