Varsity D Association Mission
The purpose of the Denison University Varsity D Association Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who, through athletic participation, coaching, service, or lifetime achievements have distinguished themselves in the field of intercollegiate athletics, brought excellence and distinction to Denison, and contributed to the success and advancement of intercollegiate athletics at the college.
Who are we?
The Varsity D Association is comprised of all former Denison University varsity athletes, former and current members of the varsity coaching staff, as well as friends and family of the Denison athletic department.
About the Hall of Fame
The Varsity D Association Athletics Hall of Fame inducted its first class in 1974. Members of that class included Walter Livingston ’09, Dave Reese ’15, Sid Jenkins ’18, Tom Rogers ’25, Mike Gregory ’29, and Woody Hayes ’35. With the addition of this year’s extraordinary class, the number of inductees and citation winners to date is 247. With the expansion and renovation of the Mitchell Center, the Hall of Fame was placed intentionally in a prime location near the building’s entrance and bustling atrium, where the images and backgrounds of all the honorees are featured prominently.
