New Orleans, La. - The Denison Track & Field programs, along with recent graduate Sydney Flores and rising junior Mira Renaldi, have earned All-Academic Honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025-26 academic year.
Under head coach Mark Fitzpatrick, who wrapped his 15th season with the Big Red this spring, both men's and women's squads were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams. The women's team posted a team GPA of 3.39, while the men's team amassed a team GPA of 3.30.
The criteria for a team to be named an NCAA Division III All-Academic Team:

Cumulative team GPA (not 2023-24 academic year, not semester) of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter, computed by the following method:

Total the cumulative number of semester hours or quarter hours earned for all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility, including the most recent grading period;

Total the cumulative number of quality points (GPA multiplied by the number of credit hours) earned by all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility, including the most recent grading period;

Divide the cumulative number of quality points earned by the cumulative number of semester or quarter hours earned.

Institutions utilizing a different GPA scale than 4.0 then must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method [GPA/Scale x 4.0]. Data must be certifiable by the institution's registrar.

Graduate students must take all undergraduate plus graduate coursework into account.
Two members of the Women's Track & Field squads earned individual honors, as Sydney Flores (Durango, Colo./Durango) earned All-Academic honors for the second time in her Big Red career, and Mira Renaldi (Plymouth, Mich. /Canton) earned All-Academic honors for the first time in her Big Red career.
Flores, a recent graduate earning a degree in Biochemistry, earned her second consecutive All-Academic honor. In her final season as a Big Red, she is an eight-time All-NCAC recipient, and in her final North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship, she took home titles in both shot put (12.96m) and discus (39.00m). She concluded her throws career at Denison as a three-time NCAC Champion.
Renaldi, a rising junior studying Biology and Psychology, earned her first All-Academic honors. During her sophomore season, she recorded two All-NCAC finishes in the NCAC Outdoor Championships, taking third place in the 100m hurdles (14.57) and second in the 4x400 Relay (4:00.11).Â

Must have finished the indoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.

Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in the relay at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.
