New Orleans, La.-The Denison women's cross country team, along with first-year Shaylee Murdough, have earned All-Academic Honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the fall 2025 academic semester.
Under the direction of second-year head coach Veronica Rocco, the women's program were named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. The Big Red finished the semester with a team GPA of 3.44.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams
In her first semester as a Big Red, Murdough (Contoocook, N.H./ Hopkinton Middle), a first-year student studying Health Exercise and Sports Studies, earned her first All-Academic honor. In her rookie season, she finished 56th at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships.
Qualifying for an individual All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
