Powell, Ohio - The Denison women's cross country traveled to rival Ohio Wesleyan for the OWU Invitational, and in the second straight meet finished fourth with a team score of 145. Host Ohio Wesleyan finished first with a score of 30, second was Ohio Northern with 35, and in front of the Big Red was Mount Vernon Nazarene with a score of 104. First-year
Shaylee Murdough finished 10th with a season best time of 23:18.5.
- Murdough paced the Big Red, finishing 10th with a season best time of 23:18.5. It is her second top 10 finish of the season, her first being at the Port Kenyon Opener (9th).
- Also finishing in the top 20 was first-year Hanna Hack, who finished 17th with a time of 23:41.0.
- Rounding out the top 50 was first-year's Amelia Anderson and Serafina Lavallee. Anderson finished 40th with a time of 24:26.5, and Lavallee finished 44th with a time of 24:32.1.
- The final three scorers were sophomore Evie Sparks and juniors Lexi Verdell and Aly Marshall. Sparks finished 62nd (25:01.3), Verdell finished 75th (25:29.8), and Marshall finished 85th (26:00.1).

The women's cross country team will have a week off as they head to Rock Island, Illinois, on Saturday, October 18th, for the Augustana Interregional Invitational.
