Harris and Hill Named Swimming and Diving NCAC Athletes of the Week

Cleveland, Ohio - The North Coast Athletic Conference has released their Athletes of the Week, and Denison swept the swimming and diving section. Senior Emily Harris (Nashville, Tenn. / Ensworth) and junior Jack Hill (Leighton Buzzard, U.K. / Cedars Upper) were nominated after earning numerous "B" cut times and top-three finishes against Division One schools Oakland and Miami (Ohio).

Harris displayed another emphatic showing, nabbing first place three times in the 400 IM (4:20.06), 200 IM (2:03.47), and 200 Fly (2:00.95) while also getting third place three times in relays (400 Free Relay, 3:26.96; 400 Medley Relay, 3:47.28; 200 Free Relay, 1:34.87). All times qualified for "B" cuts, and it is her second time receiving NCAC Athlete of the Week honors.

Hill has been named NCAC Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after a strong performance at the Oakland University Tri-Meet. Hill finished third in the 200 Free (1:37.77), and grabbed second in the 100 Free (44.29). In relays, Hill rallied his group to three top-five finishes being the first and second legs (400 Free Relay, 2:58.63; 200 Free Relay, 1:20.98; 200 Medley Relay, 1:28.99). Hill has been named NCAC Athlete of the Week four times in his career, and it is his second time this season.

Denison remains on the road and travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., to take on Carnegie Mellon on Saturday, January 17. The meet is set to start at 1 p.m.
