Lu-Si Minnich Named NCAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week

Cleveland, Ohio - The North Coast Athletic Conference has released their Athletes of the Week for January 27th, and Lu-Si Minnich of the women's swimming diving team has been named Athlete of the Week after record breaking performances in the diving well.

Against Ohio Wesleyan, Minnich had an impressive day in her first-place performance. She scored a 503.55 in the 1-meter dive, a new Denison Varsity record for the 1-meter (11 dives) and also is a Regional qualifying score. The previous record was held by Allison Fitzgerald, who recorded a score of 499.73 back in 2018. Her day would not end there, as Minnich would score a 507.53 in the 3-meter dive, breaking Fitzgerald's 3-meter dive of 484.28. The score would also be deemed a Regional qualifying score.

The Big Red will head to Ann Arbor next Saturday, January 31 to take on the University of Michigan at 12 p.m.
