Women’s Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Otterbein Invitational

Westerville, Ohio - The Denison Women's Cross Country team finished fourth out of 13 teams at the Otterbein Invitational. The Big Red finished with 124 team points, and finished behind first place Ohio Northern (38), second place Mount Union (60), and behind third place Otterbein (65).

Leading the Big Red was sophomore Floralysse Biteau, who finished 14th with a 6k career-best time of 23:31.32.
Rounding out the top 25 was first-year Shaylee Murdough, who finished 20th with a time of 23:51.38, and junior Fiona Martinelli, who finished 21st with a time of 23:51.69.
Other notable times were first-year Serafina Lavallee, finishing with a time of 24:06.61 and placing 26th, and Amelia Anderson finishing 47th with a time of 24:59.09. Junior Aly Marshall finished 86th with a time of 26:42.90 to round out the top 100 placers.

Up Next for the Big Red
The women's cross country team will be off for a couple of weeks before they head to North Coast Athletic Conference rival Ohio Wesleyan Friday, October 3, at 6 p.m. in Powell, Ohio at Ohio Wesleyan University.
