Williamsburg, Va.- The No. 14 Denison women's golf team earned an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships after taking first place at the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament. Denison and fellow NCAC golfer Becky Williams (DePauw) will represent the conference in the 34-team field and six individual competitors, down in Williamsburg, Va.
Denison captured its fifth consecutive NCAC championship to earn the conference's automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Championship. After opening with a 303 at the par-72, 5,870-yard Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana, the Big Red followed with a 316 on Saturday and
closed with a 310 on Sunday to finish with a 72-hole total of 929. Sophomore
Lizzy Grant (Hudson, OH/Hudson) led the way for the Denison, finishing second overall with a 231. Junior
Isabella Dolan (St. Petersburg, FL/Shorecrest Preparatory School) tied for fourth at 234, while
sophomore
Natalia Fanucchi (Carlsbad, CA/Sage Creek) and first-year
Siena Maschke (Cleveland, OH/Laurel School) Each tied for sixth with a 235. Senior
Ella McRoberts (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) rounded out the top-10 finishes, placing 10th with a 240. This marks the Big Red's 14th NCAA appearance and the fourth under head coach
Lauren Grogan.
The 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships will be held Tuesday-Friday, May 13-16 at two golf courses at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The field will be split in two, with one half starting the tournament at River Course (5,874 yards) while the other half compete on the Plantation Course (5,866 yards). The team and individual champions will be determined after 72 holes of play. After 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams. A total of up to 176 participants will compete at the 2025 championship. In the team competition, the low four scores from each team for each day will count toward the team's total score.
Know Before They Go
The Denison women's golf team will start their championship run at the River Course, teeing off at #1 at 9 a.m., and will be playing alongside No. 13 Randolph-Macon and No. 15 Redlands. On Day two the Big Red will tee off at 8:45 a.m. off of #1 on the Plantation Course. The final two rounds will be held on the River Course following the first two rounds.

Denison's best finish in program history is 13th, prior to the new cut line after two rounds. Last year, we finished tied for 16.

Heading into the 2024 Championships Denison was ranked 29th in the nation (66-80-0), with a 2.89 weight points average of 314.1 scoring average; they had two wins and three top threes throughout the season. For the 2025 season, the team is ranked No. 14 nationally on Clippd (95-36-1) with a record 26.77 weight points average, has had two wins and four top threes throughout the season.
