Indianapolis, Ind.— WeCOACH recently announced the 55th class of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy (WCA), and Denison University's Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach and Coordinator of Athletic Department Golf Course Operations,
Lauren Grogan, has been selected to this year's cohort.
The NCAA Women Coaches Academy provides a multi-day, transformational experience centered on leadership development, personal growth, and advancing women in coaching. The 2025 academy will take place November 16–18 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Grogan joins 77 other women representing 18 sports across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, as well as NAIA and NJCAA programs. Since its inception, the WCA has graduated more than 2,400 coaches nationwide.
Grogan enters her seventh season leading the Big Red golf programs in 2025–26, and has established Denison as a consistent powerhouse within the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) and on the national stage.
Under her leadership, the Denison women's golf team has captured five consecutive NCAC Championships (2021–2025) and made four NCAA Division III Championship appearances, including a 16th-place national finish in 2024. Grogan and her staff have been recognized as the NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year for four straight seasons, and Grogan herself is a five-time NCAC Women's Coach of the Year.
The men's program has also thrived under Grogan's direction, claiming its first-ever NCAC Championship in 2021 and finishing as conference runner-up multiple times. Denison men's golfers have earned numerous All-NCAC and All-Region honors during her tenure, reflecting the sustained growth of both programs.
Before joining Denison, Grogan led the golf programs at Aquinas College, served as a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University, and competed collegiately at the University of Michigan, where she was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. She continues to compete professionally, with multiple top-30 finishes at the Michigan PGA Women's Open.
