He is the first Big Red since 2006 to be named Defensive Player of the Year. Heyes has anchored a defense that has a conference-leading 11 shutouts, five of which were achieved at the start of the season, and has only given up 12 goals this year so far. The team's 0.63 opponent scoring average ranks first in the conference and top-20 nationally. Along with his defense, Heyes has also got it done on the other side of the pitch, netting five goals, having nine shots on target, and two game-winners.
Zarius Eusebe: Eusebe earns first-team honors after earning second-team distinction last season. The senior defender propelled a Denison defense to 16 games with one goal or less, 11 of them resulting in shutouts. The senior also tallied three goals and one assist. Kaden Kist: Defender
Kaden Kist is the only sophomore on the Big Red to be named All-NCAC, landing second-team honors. Not only was his defense remarkable, but his vision on the offensive end was impressive, leading the team and conference in assists with eight. He also added 19 shots and five on target, proving to be a threat on either end of the pitch.
