Granville, Ohio- Three members of the Denison men's soccer team were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, to acknowledge the top student-athletes in the nation for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
Earning the recognition this year for the men's team were sophomores Colin MacDonald, Emmett O'Brien, and senior Dominic Pellock.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and must be a standout on the field, competing in at least 90 percent of their team's games and starting at least 66 percent of their team's games.
MacDonald, a Data Analytics major, earns a spot on the Academic All-District team for the first time, after scoring two goals in Denison's 15-3-3 season. This fall, MacDonald, a sophomore from Oakwood, Ohio, played in 20 games and started 11, contributing on both ends of the field as a midfielder.
O'Brien, a sophomore forward and Global Commerce major from Upper Arlington, Ohio, also earned a first-time nod as an Academic All-District team member for his efforts this season. O'Brien played in 20 games and scored three goals, including a game-winning goal against Ohio Wesleyan.
Rounding out the Academic All-District team members is senior midfielder, Pellock. Pellock is an Applied Mathematics major with a minor in Economics, from Huntingtown, Md. Earning his first Academic All-District team honor, he played in all 21 games and tallied one assist for the season. Off the field, he was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society in the spring of 2025. And since 2023, has interned with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) as an Operations Research Analyst.
