Brennan, Davis named to NCAC 40th Anniversary All-Decade Team

GRANVILLE, Ohio (February 12, 2024) – Former Denison standouts Aedin Brennan '16 and Tiffany Davis '14 were named to the North Coast Athletic Conference 40th Anniversary All-Decade Team for women's indoor track & field.

Aedin Brennan (2012-13 - 2015-16) was a three-time All-American in the pentathlon and was the 2016 national-runner up in the event. She was also a two-time NCAC Field Athlete of the Year for indoor track & field ('14, '15) who earned 13 conference championships, including four wins in the pentathlon and three in the triple jump. She won the conference title in the 400 meter dash and the pentathlon as a freshman in 2013; won a career-best five conference titles (400 meter dash, long jump, triple jump, pentathlon, 4x400 meter relay) in 2014; won the long jump, triple jump and the pentathlon again in 2015; and then made it three straight conference championships in the triple jump and four straight in the pentathlon while adding her first conference championship in the distance medley relay in 2016. In all, Brennan earned 20 all-conference certificates for indoor track & field as she was second in the triple jump and third in the long jump, 4x200 meter relay and 4x400 meter relay in 2013; was third in the 4x200 meter relay in 2014; was second in the 400 meter dash in 2015; and then was third again in the 4x200 meter relay in 2016. A four-time national qualifier in indoor track & field, Brennan improved upon her performance in the pentathlon each year at the national championships, going from finishing 10th as a freshman in 2013 to finishing seventh as a sophomore in 2014. She was then fourth in the pentathlon and ninth in the triple jump in 2015 before finishing second in the pentathlon as a senior in 2016. She was also 14th in the triple jump in 2016. She set a meet record in the pentathlon in each of her last three appearances in the conference championship with her last two appearances also being school records. Brennan holds the indoor school records in the long jump (18'1.50"; 3/7/15), triple jump (38'11.00"; 2/13/16) and the pentathlon (3638; 2/28/16). Her score in the pentathlon is also the NCAC meet record. Brennan had also set a school record in the 60 meter hurdles (9.18; 2/28/16) and the high jump (5'3.25"; 3/11/16 & 2//7/16) before graduating, and now ranks second in both events in program history. As a team, Brennan helped the Big Red finish in third place at the conference championship as a freshman in 2013, followed by a runner-up finish in 2014, a fourth-place finish in 2015 and another third-place finish in 2016.

Tiffany Davis (2010-11 - 2013-14) was a three-time NCAC Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Year for indoor track & field ('12, '13, '14) after winning the conference title in both the 60 and the 200 meter dash during all three seasons. In all, Davis was a seven-time conference champion and a 10-time All-NCAC performer in indoor track & field after helping Denison take first in the 4x400 meter relay and third in the 4x200 meter relay in 2014 and leading the team to a pair of third-place finishes in both events in 2013. Davis would also go on to become an All-American with a very impressive third-place finish in the 200 meter dash at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. Davis holds the indoor school record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.61 seconds (3/14/14) and is both the Mitchell Fieldhouse record holder and the NCAC meet record holder in the 200 with a time of 25.14 seconds (3/8/14). She had originally set a meet record in both the 60 and the 200 at the conference championships in 2014. Davis had also set a school record in the 60 meter dash (7.80 seconds; 3/8/14) at the 2014 conference championship, a mark that now ranks as the second-fastest PR in program history. As a team, Davis helped lead the Big Red to a third-place finish in the conference in 2013, a five-spot improvement from the previous season, followed by a runner-up finish her senior year in 2014. Davis was also named to the NCAC's 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team for both the 55/60 meter dash and the 200 meter dash.
