POWELL, Ohio (September 29, 2023) – The Denison University women's cross country team finished in 10th place out of 17 teams in the women's 6K race at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational, held at Liberty Park in Powell, Ohio, on Friday evening. The Big Red were led by Fiona Martinelli, who finished in 47th place out of 141 runners with a time of 24:36.9.

Following in second for DU and 52nd overall was Cara Bodary, who logged a time of 24:45.4.

Kate Immesberger (25:32.5), Aly Marshall (25:48.0) and Lexi Verdell (26:00.0) finished in 75th, 80th and 84th place, respectively, while Emily Porter (26:36.6) was 98th.

Next up, Denison will close out the regular season at the Rowan University Border Battle, hosted at DREAM Park in Logan Township, New Jersey, on Saturday, October 14.
