SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (February 11, 2023) – The Denison University women's track & field team sent athletes to compete at both the Ohio Wesleyan Open and the All-Ohio Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend.

OWU OPEN: Denison competed at the 2023 Ohio Wesleyan Open on the night of Friday, February 10, in Delaware, Ohio. Erin-Barbara Adu was second in the long jump (4.31 meters) and Amy Pollack was third in the weight throw (12.33 meters).

Top-10 Finishes:

• Erin-Barbara Adu – second place in the long jump – 4.31 meters (14'1.75")
• Brooklyn Heller – second place in the 200 meter dash – 32.10 seconds
• Brooklyn Heller – third place in the pole vault – 2.29 meters (7'6")
• Amy Pollack – third place in the weight throw – 12.33 meters (40'5.50")
• Megan Keller – fourth place in the 60 meter dash prelims – 9.76 seconds
• Sydney Brown – fifth place in the high jump – 1.25 meters (4'1.25")
• Megan Keller – fifth place in the long jump – 3.36 (11'0.25")

 
ALL-OHIO INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS: Then on Saturday, February 11, Denison placed seventh overall out of 13 teams with 46 points at the 2023 All-Ohio Indoor Track & Field Championships at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Denison was led by Anna Lindower's second-place finish of 18:32.40 in the 5,000 meter run while Audrey Corrigan was fourth with a time of 19:51.95. In the Distance Medley Relay, the Big Red team of Annelise Bentley, Erin Anderson, Erin Mayle, Carolyn Trent finished fourth with a time of 14:04.97. In the field events, Catelyn Gagnier earned third place in the pole vault with a mark of 3.52 meters, Tam Dzolic was fourth in the weight throw at 14.60 meters, and Rainer Yaeger was fourth in the triple jump at 10.11 meters.

NEXT UP: The Big Red will return to action on Saturday, February 18, when they travel back to Springfield, Ohio, to take part in the Wittenberg Invitational.
