GRANVILLE, Ohio (October 28, 2023) – The Denison University women's cross country team finished the 2023 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship, held at Infirmary Mound Park in Granville, Ohio, in seventh place. Claiming its second-straight NCAC title with 36 total points and each of the top three individual finishers was Wittenberg while DePauw (39) was just three points behind in second place.
Denison was led by senior
Cara Bodary, who finished 31st out of 79 runners with a 6K time of 24:43.4.
Next was freshman
Fiona Martinelli in 35th place with a time of 24:54.5 while senior
Michaela Hassler was 50th at 25:55.2.
Freshman
Aly Marshall was 57th at 26:30.2 while freshman
Emily Porter (26:33.6), freshman
Lexi Verdell (26:40.5) and senior
Kate Immesberger (26:40.6) finished in order between 59th and 61st place.
Following the conclusion of the conference meet, Denison will return to the course on Saturday, November 11, when they travel to the Silver Creek Cross Country Course in Norton, Ohio, for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet, hosted by John Carroll University.
