LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (October 14, 2023) – The Denison University women's cross country team finished 18 overall out of 31 teams in the women's 6K championship race at the eighth-annual Interregional Border Battle, hosted by Rowan University on Saturday morning at DREAM Park in New Jersey.
Cara Bodary led Denison with a time of 23:35.7 and a finish of 58th out of 263 total runners.
Fiona Martinelli checked in second for Denison and 64th overall with a time of 23:41.0 while Michaela Hassler was 117th with a time of 24:29.7.
The fourth, fifth and sixth-place finishers for the Big Red were Aly Marshall (24:59.4) in 143rd, Emily Porter (25:35.5) in 169th and Lexi Verdell (26:00.7) in 178th.
With the regular season all wrapped up, the Big Red will now turn their attention to hosting the 2023 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship meet, which is set for Saturday, October 28, at Infirmary Mound Park in Granville, Ohio.
