WESTERVILLE, Ohio (January 15, 2022) – The Denison University women's track & field team opened its 2022 schedule on Saturday as the Big Red competed at the 2022 Snow Globe Open held at Otterbein University's Clements Recreational Center in Westerville.
The Big Red began their day in the field events, where they complied a first-place finish by
Rainer Yaeger (9.94 meters) in the triple jump and a second-place finish from
Catelyn Gagnier (3.27 meters) in the pole vault.
Rainer added an eighth-place finish in the long jump at 4.45 meters while in the throwing events,
Amy Pollack paced the Big Red with a seventh-place finish in the weight throw at 9.91 meters and a 10th-place mark in the shot put at 8.76 meters.
On the track,
Cara Bodary (5:55.29 in one mile run),
Sophia Ellerkmann (1:05.19 in 400 meter dash) and
Julia Renetzky (12:29.52 in 3000 meter run) each finished in sixth place in their respective events.
