WOOSTER, Ohio – Highlighted by eight individual victories on Saturday, Denison women's track & field tallied 131 points and placed first overall at the College of Wooster. Denison led the field with 131 team points while Allegheny followed with 120 and Wooster finished in third with 91 points.
- On the track, freshman Monica Bradford led the way with three event titles in the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles. In the 100 hurdles, Bradford clocked in at 15.91, good for the sixth-fastest PR in school history. She then won the 100-meter dash in 13.45 and the 200 in 27.43.
- In the distance events, Emily Willson won the 3,000-meter steeplechase event in 12:10.89, which checks in as the eighth-fastest personal record in the history of the program. Anna Lindower followed in second at 13:29.79. Senior Sarah Radziewicz took second overall in the 5,000-meter run after clocking in at 18:41.15. In the 4X100, Ava Batsel, Rainer Yaeger, Julie Kenyon, and Tessa Gerhardt placed second overall with a final time of 53.75.
- In the field events, the Big Red garnered four of their event titles, including a win in the shot put event from Mikaila Carpenter. In her first-collegiate track & field contest, Carpenter placed first overall with a maximum throw of 36'6.75" (11.14 meters), which is good enough for the sixth-best PR in school history. Ashley Schmoll won the discus at 123'1" (37.53 meters) and Sam Zimmerman took home the gold in the javelin at 102' (31.08 meters). Kylee Silverman notched the second-best PR in Denison history in the hammer throw at 144'5" to place second overall and Danielle Wydick finished in second in the pole vault at 9'6.25".
- Yaeger added a win to their day in the triple jump when they checked in at 33'9.25" (10.29 meters), the fifth-best PR in school history.
Denison will return to action next Friday, April 2 when they host the Denison Quad Meet at Piper Stadium.
