GRANVILLE, Ohio- The Denison women's track & field team posted five individual event wins against Ohio Wesleyan before falling 76-61 to the Battling Bishops.
Monica Bradford posted a win in the 60 meter hurdles, a second-place finish in the 60 meter dash and was a part of the second-place 4x400 relay team. Bradford's time of 9.37 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles was a PR and the second-fastest time in program history. She logged a personal best in the 60 meters with a time of 8.37 seconds that ranks fifth on the indoor top-10.
In the 400 meter dash,
Erin Anderson logged a PR with a time of 1:00.90 which is the sixth-best performance at Denison and the fastest time since Aedin Brennan posted a 58.26 in 2014. Anderson was also a part of the second-place 4x400 free relay.
First-year
Rainer Yaeger won the triple jump with a distance of 33'6.75" and a second-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 15'00.5". Yeager also logged a third-place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 29.41.
Tommy Solberg won the 800 meters with a time of 2:44.22 and her teammate
Anna Lindower finished second in 2:47.39.
Earlier in the meet Solberg led a group of four Denison runners to top-six finishes. Solberg was second in 5:56.31 and she was followed by
Audrey Corrigan (4
th – 6:02.11),
Anna Lindower (5
th – 6:02.68), and
Kate Immesberger (6
th – 6:06.75).
In the 3,000 meters,
Sarah Radziewicz finished first with a time of 10:44.03. Dani Gutelius was third in the high jump, clearing 4'9". In the weight throw,
Kylee Silverman placed second with a distance of 45'11.75". In the shot put,
Ashley Schmoll placed second after her throw of 36'2.25".
