Box Score Denison improved to 5-0-1 on the season following a commanding 4-1 decision over visiting Mount Union from Barlcay-Thomsen Field in Granville.
The Big Red attack got going early with a goal in the eighth minute of play when Quinn Miller centered a pass to Charlie Allen who fired a low liner into the lower left corner of the goal.
Twelve minutes later, on the heels of a Purple Raider foul, Mark Waterman would score the first of what would be two free kick goals for the junior from Prospect, Ky.
DU would take that 2-0 lead into the intermission. Four minutes into the second half, Waterman crossed a ball to the head of Charlie Allen for his second tally of the day.
In the 63rd minute, Mount Union would wipeout the shutout when Tom Beck fed Chris Felker in stride for his team-leading fourth goal of the season.
In the 78th minute, another Mount Union foul gave Waterman another try from mid-range and the junior gave his ball perfect trajectory, over the wall and past Purple Raider goalkeeper Dylan Lias for the goal.
For Waterman, it marked his first two goals and second assist of the season. Allen leads the squad in goals with five while making six starts.
