After taking nearly a month off from competition, Denison returns to action on Monday with a dominating 8-1 victory over Lake Forest College in Hilton Head, S.C.

The time off didn't seem to affect the Big Red as they swept doubles play to take a 3-0 lead.  The senior tandem of Matt McErlean and Tyler Cempre posted an 8-5 win over Ryan Kreis and John Adams at No. 1 doubles.  The win was their seventh straight and moved their record to 8-1 on the season.

At the second flight, Tim Martin and Shankar Rajupet won a convincing 8-1 decision over Anthony Warren and Jerry Wang.  DU completed the sweep with a shutout victory by Grant Veltman and Juan Guerra at third doubles.

In singles play, Denison won five of six flights to secure its third victory of the season.  McErlean, Guerra, Casey Cempre, Tyler Cempre and Veltman won in straight sets at second through sixth singles.

The Big Red improves to 3-0 with the win, while the loss drops Lake Forest to 3-5.  Denison returns to action on Wednesday when they take on Macalester at 1 p.m.
