Kael Shah of the National Championship-winning Denison Men's Tennis team have been named to the First and Second-Team Academic All-America® as selected by the College Sports Communicators for the 2024-25 season.
Ethan Green (Salt Lake City, Utah | Financial Economics), following a historic year with the Denison Men's Tennis National Championship team, has earned a spot on the 2024-25 Academic All-America® First Team. Green is a three-time ITA All-American (1x singles, 2x doubles), was the 2024 ITA Cup Runner-Up in both singles and doubles play, and received the North Coast Athletic Conference Singles Player of the Year and Doubles Team of the Year honors. He concluded the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 28-9, contributing to Denison's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship. Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenya | Global Commerce) earned Academic All-America® Second-Team honors after achieving a 33-7 overall record and finishing as the runner-up in the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis singles championship for the second consecutive year. Shah is a four-time ITA All-American (two singles, two doubles) and, alongside Green, was named NCAC Doubles Team of the Year.
This achievement increases Denison's total to 127 Academic All-Americans® in school history. Green and Shah received their first Academic All-Americans® honors, adding to the men's tennis Academic All-Americans® recognition, which now totals three.
Established in 1952, the Academic All-America® program, selected by College Sports Communicators, is a premier nationwide college scholar-athlete awards program. It annually recognizes over 1,400 outstanding student-athletes across Division I, II, III, and NAIA, representing all NCAA championship sports.
