Box Score The Denison men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday evening at Hiram College.
The Terriers quickly got on the board with a goal in the 12th minute of play when Ryan Minick found Andy Harding. Hiram held on to the one-goal lead for the rest of the opening period. In the second half, Minick got in the scoring column off an assist from Caleb Capron at 58:37.
Hiram held a 12-8 advantage in shots, including a 6-3 edge in shots on net. The Terriers committed 11 of the 19 fouls, and attempted four of the six corner kicks.
Junior Will Krentz paced the Denison attack with three shots, while senior captain Ryan Torgersen logged two shots on net. DU keeper Matt Wagner played all 90 minutes and made four saves, while Kirby Rice made three stops for Hiram.
The Big Red falls to 8-6-2 on the year and 4-3-1 in NCAC action, while the Terriers improve to 13-2-1 and 4-2-1 in conference play. Denison closes out the regular season at Ohio Wesleyan on Friday. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
