Granville, Ohio — Denison women's lacrosse senior Mary Martinson has been named this week's NCAC Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week for her performance at last week's Spring Fling Tournament.

Martinson helped the Big Red to a 3-0 week, beating Plymouth State 19-3, Smith College 18-7, and Connecticut College 15-4. She finished the spring break week with seven goals, five ground balls, caused three turnovers, and 12 draw controls. Martinson would record the 200th draw control of her career in Denison's matchup against Smith College.

The Big Red return to Kienzle-Hylbert Stadium to take on #25 Christopher Newport on Saturday, March 28. Denison and the Captains are set to take the field at 12 p.m.
