Granville, Ohio – Denison University men's and women's squash teams welcome
Seetreeon Torres to their 2025 coaching staff. A native of Bronx, New York, Torres found his love for squash through an after school program called 'CitySquash', which in his own words "was where his life changed and his journey began". Torres joins the Big Red coaching staff with over ten years of experience in developing competitive players and growing the game of squash.
Head men's and women's squash coach Mike MacDonald exclaimed, "I am very excited to welcome Tron to our coaching staff. He brings positive energy, knowledge, and a fresh perspective that will immediately impact the team. We are lucky to have him joining us!
Most recently, he coached in Toledo, Ohio, at the Toledo Club as an Assistant Squash Professional, where he helped manage internal and external events such as their Fall Fest and Spring Classic tournaments, Winter Squash League, and a kids' summer squash camp during the off-season.
Before joining Toledo, Torres was the Curriculum and Coaching Squash Manager at MetroSquash in Chicago, Ill. There, he coordinated initiatives such as induction ceremonies, try-outs, and student recruitment. He built a network of club pros in Chicago and helped run non-sanctioned tournaments called "Travel Squash" for junior players in the area. In 2019, he coached his team to third place in the A Division at the SEA Middle School Team Nationals. For five consecutive summers, he ran MetroSquash's four-week Squash Summer program.
In high school, he earned a full scholarship to an all-boys boarding school called Trinity Pawling in Pawling, N.Y, and played in the top three on the varsity team all four years. Following high school, Torres competed on the varsity squash team at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., where he earned the Squash Coaches Award and was a member of the nationally ranked team, which finished second in the nation after the 2014-15 season. While at St. Lawrence University, Torres earned a Bachelor's in Communications and Fine Arts.
