Granville, Ohio - Juan Felipe Hernandez of the Denison men's Squash team has been awarded the Liberty League Performer of the Week award for his efforts this past weekend against the No. 6 University of Virginia and the No. 19 University of Rochester.

In a tough battle, Hernandez would fall to the No. 6 Cavaliers in three sets. He would bounce back against No. 19-ranked Rochester, winning his match in four games. In his first two games against Rochester, Hernandez would win 11-7 and 11-9, respectively. In his third set, he would lose 11-4, but dominated in the fourth and final set with an 11-7 victory. Although Denison would lose overall against Rochester, Hernandez shone brightly for the Big Red, as he is Denison's top player on the team.

Denison looks for its first win of the season on Saturday, November 8, as the team faces Fordham University and Navy in Annapolis, Md., at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
