Granville, Ohio – (June 3, 2025) The 2024-25 College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District® Baseball Team was released recently, and four Big Red Baseball players were selected.

Juniors Erik Sundgren and Max Fishbein, along with sophomores Jack Lutte and Peter Lemke, were selected by the CSC to join the Academic All-District team for their performance on the field and in the classroom.

Sundgren, a junior from Pittsburgh, Penn., earned his first Academic All-District® nod after a historic junior season. Sundgren was named First Team All-NCAC, ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Region 7 Player of the Year, and ABCA First Team All-American to round out the season. He also rewrote Denison Baseball history, breaking the single-season home run record of 13 with a blast against Keystone College in the Granville Regional. He finished the season with 17 home runs, tied for 10th in the NCAA and first in the conference. Sundgren led the NCAC in OPS (1.184), hits (76), RBIs (81), total bases (144), slugging percentage (.735), and tied for stolen bases with fellow teammate Eric Colaco with 31. His performance on the field has earned him the chance to advance as an Academic All-America® candidate.

Lutte, a sophomore from Venetia, Penn., earned his first Academic All-District® award after a successful sophomore campaign. Lutte finished the season with All-NCAC First Team honors, ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region, and d3baseball.com Third Team All-Region recognition. He finished first on the Big Red in batting average and third in the NCAC with .409. He led the conference and team in doubles (19) and finished second in OPS with 1.148, just behind Sundgren. He had 22 multi-hit games, five being in NCAA postseason play and a fielding percentage of .995. His performance on the field has earned him the chance to advance as an Academic All-America® candidate.

Lemke, a sophomore from Geneva, Ill., has received his first Academic All-District® award after an outstanding season. Lemke finished the season with First Team All-NCAC and ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Region honors. He finished fourth on the Big Red and seventh in the conference in ERA (2.71). He pitched the second most innings on the team with 66.1 and had 55 strikeouts, including a career-high eight-strikeout game at Hiram earlier in the season. His performance on the field has earned him the chance to advance as an Academic All-America® candidate.

Fishbein, a junior from Atlanta, Ga., rounds out the Academic All-District® honors by earning his first nod after having an exceptional junior season. He started 42 games for the Big Red and finished sixth on the team in batting average with .307 and fourth in doubles with 12. Fishbein also accumulated 24 RBI's and had a fielding percentage of .982 with 314 putouts.
