Granville, Ohio- The 2025 USTFCCCA All-Region Honors were released for the outdoor track and field season, and six student-athletes earned honors in seven events. Congratulations to the five Denison men's track and field members,
Jack Blais,
Andrew D'Asaro,
Seamus McCann,
Ari Skolnik,
Chris Slater, and to
Emily Brennan for representing the women's team.
Jack Blais, a senior from Milton, Mass., earned all-region honors in long jump. In his final meet of his Big Red career, he jumped a personal 7.11m (23'4") at Moun Union's Last Chance Meet, for third place. Blais also earned All-NCAC honors after finishing second in long jump at the NCAC Track and Field Outdoor Championships.
Andrew D'Asaro, a senior javelin thrower from Downingtown, Pa., secured his fourth all-region nod after a consistently strong year in javelin. His best throw of the season took place at the Denison Lid-Lifter Meet, where he threw a distance of 63.05m (206' 10"). He will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships after finishing his senior season 15th in the nation.
In his first year as a Big Red,
Seamus McCann (Silver Spring, Md.) earned all-region honors for pole vault. McCann's best vault of the year took place at the 2025 Duane Gomez Invitational, where he cleared a height of 4.65m (15'3"). In his rookie season, he also earned All-NCAC honors after finishing in third place at the NCAC Track and Field Outdoor Championships.
For a third year in a row, senior hurdler
Ari Skolnik of Glencoe, Ill., has earned USTFCCCA all-region honors for the 110-meter hurdles. The three-time NCAC Champion in the 110m hurdles notched a personal best time of 14.25 seconds at the 2025 NCAC Championships to secure his first-place finish. Skolnik will compete in his third Track and Field Championship on Friday, May 23, in the 110m hurdle prelims. If he advances, the finals take place on Saturday, May 24.
Senior thrower
Chris Slater of Hudson, Ohio, rounds out the men's team all-region recipients. This is Slater's second all-region honor in hammer and first in shot put. He placed first four times this season in hammer and three times in shot put. This weekend, Slater joins D'Asaro and Skolnik in Geneva, Ohio, to compete in the 2025 NCAA Track and Field Championships. He is slated to compete in the hammer throw on Saturday, May 24.
Emily Brennan, a junior hurdler from Stittsville, Ontario, represents the Denison women's track and field team as their lone all-region recipient for the 400m hurdles. Brennan notched a personal best in the 400m hurdles at this year's NCAC Outdoor Championships, running a 1:02.66 for a second-place finish and All-NCAC honors.
