Berea, Ohio - A select group of Big Red track and field athletes traveled to Baldwin Wallace University to compete in the Harrison Dillard Twilight meet in hopes to improve their marks in the "last chance" meet. Senior Sydney Flores turned in a second-place finish, while both relay squads earned top-three marks.

Senior Sydney Flores placed second in discus after a toss of 41.45m. She recently won the event last week at the conference outdoor championships along with shot put. Sophomore Mira Renaldi placed sixth with a time of 14.82 in the 100-meter hurdles, and senior Sydney Brown finished with a time of 15.33.

In the 1500-meter run, first-year Shaylee Murdough turned in a time of 4:42.43 for seventh-place, almost beating her personal-best. Sophomore Julia Schena finished with a mark of 10.28m in the triple jump to place 12th.

The women's 4x100 featured Emily Brennan, Stevie Combs, Renaldi, and Ryan Singer, who placed third, clocking in a time of 48.88.

The men's 4x100 relay team featuring Jake Mason, Jake McCann, Jack Meyerowitz, and Caleb Zell- Ratner finished second behind Carnegie Mellon with a time of 41.64.

In the long jump, senior David Atlas leaped for a mark of 6.42m, and junior Drew Carpenter completed a top-20 finish in the steeplechase (10:46.82). In the 1500-meter run, junior Leo Wisnefski finished in a time of 4:03.36, and first-year Ivan Panov finished in a time of 4:24.81.

A pair of runners competed in the 5k, as first-year William Jackson finished 45th with a time of 15:20.63, and senior Elijah Van Farowe finished with a time of 15:58.11.
