Big Red Finish Seventh at NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Gambier, Ohio - The 4x400 team consisting of Jack Meyerowitz, Caleb Zell- Ratner, Jake McCann, and Pierce Patterson secured All-NCAC honors as the Big Red finished seventh at the NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Denison secured 53 points across 21 events, finishing behind host Kenyon, who had 59.5 points, and in front of Oberlin, who had 40. NCAC newcomer John Carroll won this years' title, totaling 163.5 points to be crowned champions.

The 4x400 team earned All-NCAC honors after finishing third with a time of 3:19.08. Sophomore Caleb Zell- Ratner finished fifth in the 100-meter dash after posting a time of 10.81, and fellow sophomore Jake McCann finished seventh to gather two points with a time of 10.88.

Junior Jack Meyerowitz finished sixth for three points in the 400-meter dash, totaling a time of 49.98. Also turning in for sixth-place was Justin Tharayil in the triple jump, who leaped for a mark of 13.24m and three points.

In the 1500-meter run, first-year Sebastian Klimchak finished seventh for two points with a time of 4:04.85. In the 4x100 relay, the same quartet of McCann, Zell-Ratner, Meyerowitz, and Patterson finished fourth with a time of 41.68. Junior Justin King placed fifth for four points in the shot put, tossing for a mark of 14.53m.
