Granville, Ohio—Last week, the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming and Diving teams were announced, and four members of the Denison University Women's Swimming and Diving Team were selected. College Sports Communicators selected these students, who are recognized as the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and classroom.
For the second consecutive year, Junior
Phoebe Ferguson (Columbus, Ohio) was named to the Academic All-District® Team. At the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, Ferguson took first in the 100 Fly and the 800 Free Relay. Her performance at the NCAC Championships earned her a spot on the 2025 NCAA National Team, where she earned NCAA First-Team All-American finishes in the 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay, 400 Medley, 200 IM, and 100 Fly. Her best finish at the NCAAs was a third-place finish in the 100 Fly with a time of 54.24.
Fellow junior
Emily Harris (Castalian Springs, Tenn.) earned her first Academic All-District® Team nod after a solid 2024-25 regular season. Harris earned the NCAC title in the 200 Fly, 400 IM, and 800 Free Relay, earning her a spot on the 2025 National Team. At the 2025 NCAAs, she earned NCAA First-Team All-American honors in the 800 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 400 IM, 200 IM, and 200 Fly. Harris earned two third-place finishes in the 400 IM (4:18.40) and the 200 Fly (2:00.33).
Sophomore
Jassy Park (Lakeway, Texas) also earned her first Academic All-District® Team selection following a record-breaking regular season. Park was named NCAC Athlete of the Week after she broke the Big Red's oldest program record while turning in three NCAA Division III 'B' cuts in Denison's 158-74 dual win over Oberlin. The sophomore was the leadoff leg of Denison's winning 200 medley relay that finished in 1:42.92, which at the time was the second-best time in Division III this season. In the 2025 NCAC Championships, she finished first in the 200 Medley Relay and 100 Back, earning her a spot on the national team for the second consecutive year. While at the NCAAs, she earned First-Team All-American finishes in the 400 and 200 Medley Relays and a Second-Team All-American finish in the 100 Back.
Rounding out the Academic All-District® Team honorees is junior
Drue Thielking (Brighton, Mich.), who, for the second consecutive year, has been selected for her performance in and out of the pool. Thielking wrapped the regular season with three All-NCAC finishes at the NCAC Championships. She finished second in the 200 Breast (2:13.05, "B" cut), third in 100 Breast (1:01.98, "B" Cut), and was a part of the second-place 400 Medley relay ( 3:41.73, "B" Cut). Thielking would continue to find success in the three events as a 2025 NCAA National team member. She earned First-Team All-American finishes in the 400 Medley Relay, 200 Breast, 100 Breast, and a Second-Team All-American honor in the 200 IM.
The Big Red finished the 2024-25 season with a fourth-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, recording its 33rd top-five finish in program history. Over the four-day championships, Denison collected 26 All-American finishes, 13 of which were individual first-team honors.
