Charlottesville, Va.(March 22, 2025)- Denison men's track and field senior, javelin thrower, Andrew D'Asaro traveled to the University of Virginia for the 2025 Virginia Opener for his first meet of the outdoor season. Competing against Division I and Division III throwers, D'Asaro threw a distance of 60.33m (197-11) to secure a third place finish. Though today's throw wasn't a personal best, his throw does rank second on the men's outdoor top ten list, just behind his very own record of 64.07m (210'2"), which he threw last year in April. D'Asaro finished behind Navy's Caleb Walker (60.79m) and first place finisher Trey Theobald, a fellow North Coast Athletic Conference competitor from Ohio Wesleyan.
