ALLENDALE, Mich. (Sept. 17) – The Denison University Men's Golf team opened a busy stretch with the 54-hole Folds of Honor Challenge in Allendale, Mich. The three-day event was contested at The Meadows at Grand Valley State.
Denison finished seventh in a field of mostly NCAA Division II schools. The Big Red put together its best round Tuesday in the final day of competition.
Nicholas Viana had the best individual finish for the Big Red. He finished in 25th place at +15 with a 54-hole score of 226.
Andrew Gallagher and
Drew Brasky tied for 34th place. The duo both finished with three-day totals of 232.
John Yavari and
Marcus Ying rounded out the competing five for Denison. Yavari logged a 252 while Ying compiled a three-day score of 262.
Denison travels to Willoughby, Ohio to compete in the Region V Preview. The 36-hole event will be held on Sept. 21-22 at Manikiki Golf Course.
