GRANVILLE, Ohio (July 10) - A trio of members from the Denison University men's tennis team were selected to the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III All-America Teams.
 
Sophomores Jacob Patterson (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette), Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenya/ES American School Barcelona (Spain)), and Ethan Green (Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline) were honored with All-America certificates.
 
ITA All-America status is awarded to those student-athletes who are a top-eight seed in the NCAA singles tournament, win one round at the NCAA singles tournament, finish in the Top 20 in the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA National Small College Championships (ITA Cup).
 
Shah led the way after earning two All-American honors this season. At No. 1-3 singles, the sophomore compiled a record of 29-5 while also joining forces with Green at No. 1 doubles to post a 19-9 record. Earlier this season, the duo was named the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Doubles Team of the Year. After being invited to the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Singles Championship, Shah played his way all the way to the final where he earned national runner-up status. Additionally, Shah and Green partnered up in the NCAA D-III Men's Tennis Doubles Championship and advanced to the semifinal round.
 
Patterson, the 2024 Player of the Year in the NCAC, finished the regular season with a 23-4 record at No. 1-3 singles. After a dominating season, Patterson was one of 32 players chosen to participate in the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Singles Championship in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Big Red captured their fourth-straight NCAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time in program history. The team finished with a 21-5 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in conference play. Denison finished the season ranked eighth in the final ITA team rankings.
