Granville, Ohio - Seniors Kael Shah and Ethan Green met each other in the singles final of the ITA Central Regional Championship, but had a rather different setting this time around. The matchup was supposed to be played at Kalamazoo College on Monday, where the original event was held, but since Shah and Green were set to play each other in the final match, they agreed to play the match here in Granville in front of a home crowd. The No. 1 seed Shah got the best of the No. 2 seed Green, winning 6-4, 6-2 to claim the finals.

The match started off strong, as both players traded games in the first set, but Shah would soon pull ahead and win 6-4 in the first set. Shah would continue his strong finish of the first set into the second, winning 6-2 to be crowned the ITA Central Regional Champion in singles.

Up next for the Big Red

The Big Red will travel to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, on October 11-12.
