VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (March 9, 2024) – Day two of the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championship on Saturday saw Denison University's
Jacob Brown finish 18th in the heptathlon.
After finishing the first four events of the heptathlon on Friday in 13th place, Brown finished 12th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.81 seconds to start the day on Saturday, but was then unable to score in the pole vault. Brown finished the meet with a 13th-place time of 2:56.00 in the 1,000 meter run.
Between the seven events, Brown finished with five top-15 performances, including top-10 performances in the shot put (3rd place) and the high jump (8th place) to close out the day on Friday.
Brown finished with 4,244 points. The national champion was Mitch Stegmen (Wisconsin-Eau Claire) with 5,434 points.
