Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. (March 11, 2024) – The No. 10 Denison University men's tennis team continued its Spring Break action with a 9-0 victory on the road at No. 19 Washington & Lee University on Monday at the Duchossois Tennis Invitational.

- Green won 6-2, 6-0 over Kurani at No. 3 singles, Ryan Patrick won 6-3, 6-1 over Coleman at No. 6 singles, Mackler was victorious 6-3, 6-3 victory over Parker at No. 4 singles, and Portnoy made it a 7-0 Denison lead with a 6-4, 6-4 defeat of Sanjheev Rao at No. 5 singles.
- Shah and Patterson both won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Shah's win came against Erb, the eighth-rated singles player in Division III, while Patterson's came against Kistler.

- It was the first road win at a top-20 nationally-ranked opponent for Denison (5-2 overall) since April 15, 2022, at No. 6-ranked Washington University in St. Louis.
- W&L falls to 6-3Â on the season after falling to both No. 15-ranked Johns Hopkins University and Denison during its Duchossois Tennis Invitational. W&L is coming off its 13th consecutive and 41st overall ODAC championship from the 2023 season, which included a 17-6 overall record and 9-0 conference mark. The Generals return five of their six All-ODAC players from a season ago, who combined for eight total citations across singles and doubles, include the 2023 ODAC Player of the Year, Evan Erb.

Next Up: For the second year in a row, Denison will finish off its Spring Break trip with a highly-anticipated matchup against Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. This time, however, the Eagles are ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division III with a current record of 6-1. Their only loss was a 6-1 defeat suffered on the road today against the No. 1 ranked team in the NAIA, Georgie Gwinnett College. The matchup this year between Denison and Emory will take place starting at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, as the Big Red try to earn a statement victory.
