2023 (Junior): 

  • Had a 21-5 overall record in singles, including a 14-2 record in dual matches
  • Was a combined 9-0 between No. 3 and No. 4 singles 
  • 18-8 overall doubles record, 15-4 in dual matches, 7-0 at No. 2 doubles, and a perfect 5-0 in NCAC matches 
  • Was 14-3 with doubles partner Zachary Portnoy in dual matches (2-0 at No. 1 doubles and 6-0 at No. 2 doubles)
  • Named NCAC Athlete of the Week (3/20/23) after posting an 8-1 record and going 5-0 in singles and 3-1 in doubles during Denison's Spring Break trip to Orlando, Florida. Mackler won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles in a 5-1 win over North Central (Mar. 13). He collected a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles while he and sophomore Colin Gramley came out on top 8-5 at No. 2 doubles in a 9-0 victory against Carthage (Mar. 14). In a 7-2 win over No. 30-ranked Skidmore (Mar. 14), Mackler and junior Zachary Portnoy won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Against NCAA Division I Niagara (Mar. 14), Mackler won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5 singles to clinch the 5-2 win for Denison. Mackler and Portnoy pulled out a 7-5 win in No. 2 doubles in the Big Red's 6-1 win over NCAA Division II Dallas Baptist (Mar. 15). In the final match of the week at No. 8-ranked Emory (Mar. 17), Mackler defeated Brandon Cohen 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) at No. 5 singles
  • Named Second-Team All-NCAC (Singles) and Third-Team All-NCAC (Doubles) (now a two-time All-NCAC selection in both singles and doubles)
  • Member of the Academic All-District® Team

2022 (Sophomore):
  • Had a 15-7 overall record in singles
  • Went 25-9 in doubles play
  • Named NCAC Athlete of the Week (4/11/22) after going 8-0 on the week (5-0 in doubles and 3-0 in singles) and helping No. 13 Denison improve to 17-1 overall with wins over Wittenberg, Capital, Asbury, Wabash and DePauw. In singles, Mackler won twice at No. 4 singles and once in the fifth spot while only losing seven games across his three matches. In doubles, he won twice in the No. 2 spot and three times in the No. 3 flight while he and has partner won without dropping a single game three times
  • Earned Honorable Mention All-NCAC Honors in singles
  • Named Second-Team All-NCAC in doubles with partner Colin Gramley

2021 (First-Year):
  • Had an impressive 11-2 record, going 6-1 from No. 5 singles, in freshman season
  • Went 10-1 in doubles play, going 3-0 with partner Vlad Rotnov in No. 3 doubles

Personal: 
  • Health, exercise, and sport studies (HESS) and global heath double major
  • Son of Robin and Jay Mackler
  • Member of the National Honor Society at Seminole High School
  • Three-time member of the Dean's List at Denison
  • Created and co-hosted the DeStress Tennis Fest, which was designed as a mental health event open to the entire Denison community (students, faculty, staff, and families)
  • Works with Big Brothers Big Sisters through his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, and works with special Olympics through Denison's Student Athlete Advisory Council (DSAAC)
  • Is a fellow for both the global health and HESS departments, has been a teacher's assistant for the Applied Anatomy course in the HESS department, and currently works in the Office of Admissions as a docent
  • Is a member of DSAAC (Denison's Student-Athlete Advisory Council) and the Student Alumni Council (SAC)
  • Spent the summer of 2022 abroad in Kenya on a public health internship, we he began learning Swahili
