Box Score GENEVA, N.Y. (February 17, 2024) – The No. 10 Denison University men's tennis team traveled to New York for a road match against a fellow-nationally ranked team on Saturday, and in the end, the Big Red earned a 7-2 victory over No. 33 Hobart College.

- Patterson won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 singles over Oyer; Green won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 singles over Fischer; and Portnoy won 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 4 spot against Winter Fagerberg to clinch the win.
- Ryan Patrick fell in three sets, 6-1, 0-6, 6-3, at the No. 5 seed against Achilleas Kousaridis.
- Shah earned a tiebreak win in his first set and won 7-6 (9-7), 6-3 at No. 1 singles over Pesin before Mackler closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles over Grosso.
Records:
- Denison improved to 2-2 on the young season with what was its eighth straight win against Hobart (0-1 overall), which was playing in its season opener against the Big Red.
- The Big Red are now 9-1 all-time against the Statesmen since the two teams first played in 2001.
- The Statesmen were 16-5 a year ago while advancing to the Liberty League Championship game.
