GRANVILLE, Ohio (February 12, 2024) – Denison University junior corner back Jaylin Epps has been named the 2023-24 NCAA Division III Statistical Champion for passes defended per game.

This past season, Epps was named First-Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference as a defensive back after starting in all 10 games and recording a career-high 15 pass breakups and two interceptions.

His 17 passes defended resulted in an average of 1.7 passes defended per game, tying for first in all of NCAA Division III.

Epps had at least one pass defended in all but one game this season, and after recording a career-best four pass breakups in Denison's home opener against No. 7 Linfield University (Sept. 9), Epps earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week for the first time in his career.
